Game Description :
A variation of the game that can be played concurrently by up to 4 players. The characters involved are the President (Olimar) and his wife (Louis). After braving a dangerous planet in the first game of Pikmin, Captain Olimar makes it back to his home and discovers that his employer, Hocotate Freight, has declared bankruptcy. Now, with his helper Louie by his side, Olimar returns to the Pikmin planet to rescue the company, a world that’s very much like Earth. In order to save Hocotate Freight from bankruptcy, they must find and bring back as many treasures as they can. The level of play is similar to the previous game. You can manipulate Louie or Olimar, but you’re pretty much limited in what you can do on your own. The Pikmin is a creature similar to a plant that also inhabits this planet and can be called on to help.
The Pikmin can perform several tasks, such as pushing boulders, attacking enemies,s or returning loot to the ship. Every Pikmin species has its own abilities and characteristics (Red Pikmin are immune to fire, Blue Pikmin can swim, Yellow Pikmin can be thrown far, Purple Pikmin are strong, etc.,r and White Pikmin are fast and poisonous to enemies if they eat them). There’s a variety of Pikmin. You can control up to 100 Pikmin at once, and to find treasure and get past the numerous dangerous obstacles and creatures, you’ll need to take advantage of each type of Pikmin’s special abilities. There is a story mode, as well as a two-player mode. In this game mode, one player is red Pikmin, the other is blue. The aim is to either take away somebody’s marbles or get the first four marbles.
