Oh no! Two pachyderm pals with diabetes, Packy and Marlon, find themselves in big trouble. Summer camp has been raided by rats! The rascally bugs have taken food and other needed diabetes medications. Will Packy and Marlon be able to locate the food and supplies? To do so, they must shoot out ferocious varmints using peanuts and water. They must keep in mind to feed on healthy foods, monitor their blood sugar, and inject insulin! This is a really informative session about diabetes. And super fun!
Features:
Main gameplay: Players control two anthropomorphic, diabetic elephants, named Packy and Marlon. At their summer camp, “Camp Wa-Kee”, mischievous rats have taken over and raided the food and important diabetes supplies of the campers.
Diabetes Management Simulation: In this game, along with the usual platforming action, players will be required to constantly monitor and manage the health of the elephants throughout the game. This means working out and giving insulin doses every day and checking blood sugar readings regularly.
Nutrition and Diet are incorporated into the game with nutritional education. They need to gather and ingest key, balanced foods to maintain the characters’ blood sugar levels, while steering clear of foods that cause either elevated or low levels.
In-Game Action: Packy and Marlon use non-violent tactics to fight the rat-ghosts and other rodents that raid them, shooting water and peanuts at them.
Learning About Diabetes: Throughout the levels, players are asked to answer trivia questions to advance and to acquire real-life diabetes self-care information.
