Game Description :
Antarctic Adventure, which was created and originally published by Konami, was once seen on various older video game consoles such as the ColecoVision, NES, and MSX (and others). This is an emulated version of MSX that can be played without an emulator. As a result, it plays exactly like the classic game. The goal is to help your penguin make it to its home without bumping into any obstacles, while also picking up some bonuses (flags and fish) as you go! The relatively simple, but mediocre graphics may remind you of the old video games!
Features:
- Forward Scrolling: The game plays in third-person, behind-the-character mode, like early racing games, and Penta is programmed to scroll forward.
- Speed Control: Players take control of the penguin’s speed (slow down/ speed up) to pass through hazards.
- Obstacle Avoidance: Players need to jump chasms (ice holes), but not jump seals.Time Trial: Races to complete each of the various international research stations within a set time frame.
- Bonus points are earned for catching fish that ‘pop’ out of a hole in the ice.
- Penta gets to fly over all obstacles for a while as he collects flashing flags. If Penta collects flashing flags, he earns a propeller hat, so that he can fly over every obstacle.
- Progress Tracking: A map screen shows the penguin’s progress throughout the continent between levels.
