Game Description :
I started with Red back in ’99, but my favorite was always Gold. After I played it, but some issues (HMs, especially waterfall, etc) with the game, I was convinced to make a game that’s like the originals, but with a twist and better QoL features to make things interesting and fun.
Features:
- e-Reader Functionality: Cards contained dot codes which, when swiped through the Nintendo e-Reader on the Game Boy Advance, unlocked minigames, Pokédex information, and hidden attacks.
- Gameplay Mechanics: Introduced Poké-Powers and Poké-Bodies, with complex tactical abilities being introduced to Pokémon.
- Supporter Cards: A new type of Trainer card, which could only be played once per turn, and which could remain on the field until the end of the turn.
- Design & Layout: Remade the cards with larger images, made the layout a little cleaner, and added a larger gold “E” on the card to show that it is a holo card (blue “E” on reverse holos) to identify the card in the 165-card set.
- Popular Pokémon: Featured popular Pokémon like Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, and Mewtwo.
- Rare Variants: Introduced a variety of variants on the card, such as Holofoil, Reverse Holo, and Non-Holo, which made the card popular amongst collectors.
